Feds history

The club was formed in 1990, originating from Liverpool Hope University and played in the North West Women’s Regional Football League. The name Feds originates from the Liverpool Institute of Higher Education College, where the sports teams played as a Federation of the St Katherine’s and Christ Notre Dame Colleges. In 1993 a Reserves team was added, and in 1994 a girl’s youth section was created. Today our youth section boasts over 150 girls playing football every week.

Over the years, the club has steadily progressed up the ladder in women’s football, winning successive divisional titles before promotion to the next stage of the women’s pyramid, now the
Women’s National League. During the 2021-2022 season, the first team gained promotion into Tier 3 of the Women’s Football Pyramid, losing only one game all season, reaching a national cup semi-final and progressing to the third round of the Women’s FA Cup for the first time in the club’s history.
