We’re back at Walton Hall Park this Sunday 27th September for our final FA WNL Cup group-stage fixture, as we welcome Liverpool FC Women PGA for a 2pm kick-off. Feds will also be debuting their new home kit!

It’s been a slightly longer route to get to this final group game than we might have expected. Our opening fixture against Chorley was abandoned in the 78th minute with Feds 4–0 ahead, after a rather dramatic interruption from an incoming thunderstorm.

So, naturally, we went and did it all again.

The replay finished 4–0 too. Proof that lightning does indeed strike twice. ⚡

In between the two Chorley games, Feds also made the trip to AFC Fylde and came away with a 1–0 win, with Evie Smith getting the only goal of the game.

That means we head into our final group fixture with two wins from two, and with plenty of momentum behind us. This is a great opportunity to get behind the Feds at home, catch up with familiar faces, bring the family, grab a coffee and enjoy another afternoon of football with your club.

Our mascots walking our players out are from ISP Under 10 Girls – Super Eagles.

Our players will be doing a meet-and-greet after the match has finished, so you can get some photies and we’ll be dishing out some signing cards for autographs. Come and meet the team!

If you are joining us for the first time, you are very welcome! There’s plenty of seating which gives you a great view of the action from all over the stand. We’ll have our Feds Favourites playlist to get you pumped up and our announcers will keep you updated with team news and a countdown to kick-off. We are a friendly bunch, so if there’s anything you need there are volunteers on-hand to assist you.

THE OPPOSITION – Liverpool FC Women PGA

Liverpool FC Women PGA are the development side for Liverpool FC Women, with the PGA pathway focused on developing young players and creating a route towards the first team. As the programme covers players aged 14–20, we’re not going to pick out individual players this time around, but this is certainly a familiar fixture for Feds.

This is the first meeting between the sides this season, with both the FA WNL Cup and Liverpool County FA Senior Cup bringing the two teams together.

The two sides have met in the Liverpool County FA Senior Cup final in each of the last three seasons. Liverpool took the trophy in 2024 and 2025, before Feds turned the tables in last season’s final with a 3–1 win at Walton Hall Park in May.

Turnstiles open at 1pm, kick-off at 2pm

Parking – 50 free on-site parking spaces, available on a first-come, first-served basis

Bus – Walton Hall Avenue served by multiple routes including 19, 60, 81, 81A, 881

Train – The nearest Merseyrail station is Walton, around a 10–15 minute walk from Walton Hall Park, followed by another 10 minutes through the park to the ground.

Accessibility – Wheelchair accessible, with a low-incline ramp taking you from the entrance to pitchside. Accessible toilet facilities are available.

Seating – 500 unreserved seats are available, unreserved standing is also available (capacity of the ground is approx. 2,200)

General atmosphere – very friendly, volunteers are on-hand for assistance and information, music is played through speakers in the stand pre-match, matchday announcements will keep you in the know with squad news.
