Stephen joined the club in September 2015 as reserve team coach. In the middle of the 2016/2017 season moved up to work with the first team as first team GK coach, a role which has been continued to the current day.

Working within womens football for a span of almost 10 years, Stephen was a co-author on an article published with Sport Coaching Review; Examining Notions Of Care Within Womens Football (Lewis, Sawiuk, Grimes 2022).
