I started playing football from the age of 5, with the push from my grandad of course. I started playing for a boys team called North Walkden, which lead me into getting scouted for Manchester United when I was 8 years old until I was 16. Unfortunately there was no women’s team as this time so I had to leave. I then went onto playing for Manchester City, getting scouted for Sheffield FC who was playing in the WSL 2 at the time I was only 17. I’ve also played in the WSL for Blackburn rovers and Sheffield United. I’ve also played tier 3 for Derby, Huddersfield and now Liverpool Feds which I’m really happy here. I ruptured my ACL and MCL when I was 20, I was back at Manchester United at this time, training with the first team. It was a bad time mentally and physically for me but this is what footballs all about. This will be my first full season back playing after this injury, 5 years later. It has made me stronger and more determined to get back to my best and I know Liverpool Feds will help me get back to my playing self. Outside of football I am a private carer in the community, I love doing this job. It’s the most rewarding but challenging job at the same time but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
